About this Blog

Nerdy stuff

Sometimes, I’ll be going to blog quite “Nerdy” stuff here (about the theory of computability, epistemology and stuff like that, (some examples below)). Sorry, I need that and sometimes have some kind of fit since I am a kind of nerd :-). If you are interested in that kind of thing, feel free to leave a comment, I’ll be happy to discuss with you. If that part of the blog is boring to you, you have my full understanding. Please ignore those entries but continue your subscription. This blog is going to revolve around a number of different topics (some of them have not yet appeared here) that are somehow more or less loosely intertwined, and some of them happen to be more abstract. Just pick what you like and ignore the rest.

      • Oh yes, you’ve already told me that. Heres a random tit bit- I met a guy from Germany while in CPT and he barely spoke any English but we got on fairly well, I think we bonded over beer πŸ™‚ He invited me to visit him if I’m ever in his country and now I have two people to see there πŸ™‚

        • German is closely related to dutch (I can understand written Dutch relatively well) which in turn has developed into Afrikaans, so if you meet a German who does not understand English you might try very slow (or written) Afrikaans. After a couple of beers your taking might become slow enough for him to understand πŸ™‚

          • I have communicated in Akrikaans with Dutch speakers before but I didn’t know about the relation to German. I’ll keep that in mind! thanks πŸ™‚
