Charles Koechlin: 4 Nouvelles sonatines pour piano, Op. 87

Another one of Charles Koechlin’s beautiful piano works, for those of you who like this style of music. If you don’t like it, try it again, several times :-). The more you know it, the more you will like it.

I think quality of music and art reveals itself by exposing yourself to it repeatedly. The good things become better and better as we discover more and more of their structure, the not so good things turn boring after a short time. This music is definitely of highest quality.

  1. Beautiful music – it plays on my brain in a most unusual way, as if each piano key physically strikes a corresponding spot inside my brain cells…. Tantalizingly addictive. Can’t tear myself away and I don’t want to. Thanks for sharing these!
