The more I listen to this tune, the better it becomes. I have it on vinyl and first started listening to it in the 1980s, and each time I hear it, it seems to become better. A classic. What a wonderful guitar, and what a fantastic singer Demba Camara was…

The Bubbling of my Thoughts

A famous, classic life recording from 1972, featuring the unforgotten Demba Camara, who later died in a car accident. Music in the stile of popular music of Guinea, Mali and surrounding areas, developed in the 1950s and 1960s and based on much older traditional music (the griot music that goes back at least to the time of the funding of the Mali empire, about 800 years ago), but also showing some influences from contemporary rock music.
